Bjorklunden | Baileys Harbor, Wisconsin

Bjorklunden is a 425 acre estate on the shores of Lake Michigan just south of Baileys Harbor and is one of the most sought after Door County attractions. It was bequeathed to Lawrence University in 1963 and has been a peaceful learning environment for many years. Adult seminars are conducted on topics such as music, the arts, religion, drama, nature and many more. The estate also contains a small wooden chapel, Boynton, built between 1939 and 1947 that contains 41 hand painted frescoes. Take the time to visit this Door County attraction, it’s a treasure!
Ridges Sanctuary | Baileys Harbor, Wisconsin

The Ridges Sanctuary is a 1,400 acre pristine natural area located in Door County, Wisconsin. Formed in 1937, it is the oldest nonprofit nature preserve in the state. The Ridges is also designated as a State Natural Area and a National Natural Landmark. The Sanctuary is open to the public year-round, and features native wildflowers along its five miles of rustic trails and bridges. Naturalist-led tours, youth and family programs, and a weekly lecture series highlight the summer season. Snowshoe hikes and family programs are featured during January, February and March. The Nature Store, featuring a wide variety of quality nature-related books and gifts, is open mid-May through mid-October. The wildlife sanctuary at Baileys Harbor has been in operation since 1934 and aids in the preservation of some of the rarest wildlife in Wisconsin.
Toft Point | Baileys Harbor, Wisconsin

Located on the eastern edge of the Ridges Sanctuary in Baileys Harbor, Wisconsin – Toft Point is a favorite Door County attraction. Toft Point is located on 633 acres, and is brimming with wilderness and a shoreline just waiting to be discovered. Toft Point has 2.5 miles of secluded and undeveloped Lake Michigan shoreline. There are also Door County hiking, and biking, cross country ski trails, great places to picnic, rocky shoreline, and wonderful views. The wildlife sanctuary has been in operation since 1934 and aids in the preservation of some of the rarest wildlife in Wisconsin. More information is available here.
Kangaroo Lake | Baileys Harbor, Wisconsin
Kangaroo Lake is a large, shallow lake surrounded by marshes, lowland forests and rocky outcrops. This Door County attraction has a beautiful natural shoreline. This Door County waterfront property makes the preserve a picturesque spot for hiking, fishing, canoeing or bird watching. Kangaroo Lake is owned by The Nature Conservancy and the Door County Land Trust and was designated a State Natural Area in 2002. More information from the Wisconsin DNR is available here.
Anclam Park | Baileys Harbor, Wisconsin
This Door County attraction is a popular picnic spot, with grills and picnic tables next to the sand beach, a small boat ramp, and public rest room. There is also a Baileys Harbor Community Board that provides visitor information. Anclam is also a favorite Door County spot for windsurfing and kite boarding. Even if you don’t participate in these sports, they’re great to watch!
Kendall Park – Baileys Harbor, Wisconsin
This is a wonderful Door County park for visitors looking for a spot to picnic, exercise on some great playground equipment, or just people watch. If you’re in the mood for some indoor time, visit our McArdle Library which is located within the Town Hall in Baileys Harbor as well.
